We invite you to join us as we make history.
The Public History Collaborative (PHC) seeks to advance the visibility of history and inspire communities to engage with the past in new ways. We offer opportunities for members of the public to learn about and experience history in the making.
The PHC:
Creates partnerships with communities in southern Arizona and beyond to sponsor innovative explorations of the past.
Cultivates public history projects of UArizona faculty, students, and members of the public.
Fosters relationships with teachers and students both in higher education and in K-12 to enliven history education.
We center three areas of historical study (in the American Southwest and beyond):
ENVIRONMENTS: Past & Present
COMMUNITIES: Historic & Contemporary
CULTURES: Then & Now
